Ecofund will only collect personal information that is necessary for it to perform its functions. Ecofund is wholly owned by the Queensland Government. From time to time Ecofund may disclose to other Queensland Government entities, such as a Queensland Government Minister or Department, your personal information. If you do not consent to Ecofund disclosing your personal information to other Queensland Government entities, please let us know and we will respect your request. If you do not let us know that you do not consent to us disclosing your personal information to other Queensland Government entities, then we will treat this as you providing us with your consent for us to do so.

Emails you receive from us regarding Ecofund and other initiatives

If you provide Ecofund with your email address, we may send emails to you containing information about Ecofund, other Queensland Government Departments and agencies, and other non-governmental organisations and their services. Access to your personal information

In most cases, you can gain access to personal information that Ecofund holds about you. Ecofund will handle requests for access to your personal information in accordance with the NPPs.

Ecofund will deal with all requests for access to personal information as quickly as possible. Requests for a large amount of information, or information which is not currently in use, may require further time before a response can be given. In some cases, consistent with the NPPs, Ecofund may refuse to give you access to personal information Ecofund holds about you. This includes circumstances where giving you access:

• Would be unlawful (for example, where a record which contains personal information about you is subject to a claim for legal professional privilege by one of our clients);

• Would have an unreasonable impact on other people's privacy;

• Would prejudice negotiations Ecofund is having with you;

• Would prejudice an investigation of unlawful activity; or

• Would prejudice activities carried out by, or for, a law enforcement agency.

If Ecofund refuses to give you access we will provide you with reasons for our refusal. Generally, if you request Ecofund to do so, we will amend any personal information about you held by us which is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. If Ecofund disagrees with your view about the accuracy, completeness or currency of a record of your personal information held by us, and you ask us to record that you have a contrary view, we will take reasonable steps to do so.
