Energy efficiency assessments
Improving your organisation’s energy efficiency can reduce both energy costs and greenhouse gas emissions. Ecofund’s experienced energy efficiency assessors can identify or verify ways to reduce your energy consumption, setting reduction targets in accordance to Australian standards.
Ecofund offers Level 1 energy audits and specialises in Level 2 Energy Audits based on the Australian Energy Audits Standard AS/ NZS 3598: 2000 (lighting analysis and heating, ventilation and airconditioning analysis).
SMART ENERGY SAVINGS PROGRAM (SESP)
The Queensland Government introduced the Smart Energy Savings Program (SESP) on 1 July 2009. The program has been introduced to help drive energy saving improvements in Queensland businesses and reduce greenhouse gas emissions from Queensland commercial and industrial sectors.
The program requires participating businesses to register with the program, calculate baseline energy use, undertake an energy audit to the Australian/New Zealand Standard AS/NZS 3598:2000, develop an Energy Savings Plan and publish their actions for each relevant site, on a five-yearly cycle.
The program applies to Queensland's medium-to-large businesses with energy consumption that exceeds the following thresholds:
