When the Queensland Government established Ecofund, it was as the preferred supplier and transactional services provider of environmental and carbon offsets for all Queensland Government departments and statutory authorities.

Ecofund’s specialised services are high-quality, cost-effective and timely, and include:

advice on, and delivery of, environmental offsets in accordance with Australian and Queensland Government environmental offset policies
advice on carbon and renewable energy, including carbon footprints, Emissions Management Plans, achieving carbon neutrality, Level 2 energy efficiency audits, and the verification or limited assurance of voluntary carbon footprints
carbon offset and renewable energy brokerage that can reduce the cost of carbon offsets, GreenPowerTM and renewable energy certificates (RECs), via bulk buying.

Strategic Energy Efficiency Policy

The Strategic Energy Efficiency Policy addresses increased energy efficiency and reduced energy consumption in Queensland Government buildings, with the Department of Public Works the nominated management authority for this policy. Under the Strategic Energy Efficiency Plan, departments are responsible for developing an Energy Management Plan to reduce energy in their buildings. An Energy Efficiency Audit forms part of the Energy Management Plan.

Ecofund is proud to specialise in helping your department meet its policy obligations. We offer policy compliance services to deliver a detailed Energy Management Plan that includes a Level 2 Energy Audit, based on the Australian Energy Audits Standard AS/ NZS 3598: 2000 (lighting and HVAC analysis).
