Fiona is CEO of Utilitas, a specialist bioenergy asset development company. Utilitas (www.utilitas.com.au) provides farmers, food processors and waste managers in Australia and New Zealand with access to technology and business models to profitably utilise their clean organic waste streams, control their environment risks and realise the immense opportunities of a low-carbon economy.
Fiona volunteers on the management committee of Noosa District Landcare. She was a Director in the Queensland Environmental Protection Agency between 2000 and 2003 and in 2006 co-authored the Queensland Environment Industry Profile and Trends Report. Fiona's early work in the Cleantech space was shaped as a consultant production engineer helping mining and manufacturing companies identify and implement productivity improvements.
Fiona is an Industry Fellow of the Australian Centre for Sustainable Business and Development at the University of Southern Queensland, her academic background spans business, manufacturing, environmental and public sector management. |
Michael Klug |
Michael Klug has completed his third term as Partner in Charge of the Brisbane office of Clayton Utz. His primary area of expertise is in the field of Negotiation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) and he is considered one of Australia's pioneering lawyers in this area.
With a particular interest in dispute resolution, he is one of the original founders of LEADR (Lawyers Engaged in Alternative Dispute Resolution). He was also an original Director of the Australasian Disputes Centre and has served on numerous ADR committees nationwide. Apart from being one of Australia's best-known speakers and lecturers in the negotiation area, Michael also has been involved in very significant public disputes and matters.
Mr Klug has held a range of public and corporate positions throughout his career, ranging from being a part-time law reform commissioner appointed by the Attorney-General, through to being a member of the QUT Council. |
Susan Rix Chair |
Susan is a Chartered Accountant with more than 25 years' experience and is a partner of BDO. She is Director and Treasurer of the Cerebral Palsy League of Queensland. Susan is a Director of QUT Enterprise Holdings Pty Ltd. She has previously served as a Director of the Queensland Rural Adjustment Authority and Queensland Rail and the Port of Brisbane Corporation. |
Euan Morton |
Euan is Principal of Synergies Economic Consulting where he consults on economic issues including environmental economics and sustainability. He advises on carbon management including market design and assisting entities prepare for an Emission Trading Scheme.
Euan’s expertise in the infrastructure sector regulation was recognised when he was appointed by the Ministerial Council on Energy to an Expert Panel to review regulatory arrangements associated with the ongoing reforms to energy markets. He is an Independent Expert under the National Electricity Rules and a member of the Trade Practices Committee of the Law Council of Australia. |
